About me
I am a passionate communication and marketing specialist that believes in evidence-based
approaches. I am dedicated to bridging the digital divide through the use of social media and technology. With the rapid pace of technology is imperative that all communication should be “share-able” online, in-person, and easily accessible for everyone.
Skilled in message development, blogging, branding, evaluation grant writing and reviewing, you can always count on me to multi-task. Primary focus and experience with low-income communities of color. Training and experience in health promotion and education program design, health policy and effectively using social media to create change.
Serving as the public safety chair for my neighborhood I have increased communication and elevated the discussion around integration of new media channels to coordinate and disseminate emergency management information including police, fire, EMS, and the criminal justice system in a concise and timely manner in the District of Columbia. I am a co-author of the “Youth Sexual Health Project” where she examined new media use among youth in the District through focus groups, evaluations and surveys. She is able to reach segments of the population through engaging individuals in a direct capacity as well as in large groups.
